The Lions Are Supposed to be in Trade Talks for the No. 2 Pick in the 2014 NFL Draft

The second overall pick in the NFL Draft of 2022 will go to the Detroit Lions. As GM Brad Holmes suggested, the Lions may be able to trade the pick.
When he spoke to the media the prior day, Holmes said that the Lions were in talks with other clubs about trading down.

When asked if he had spoken to anyone in particular, Holmes would only state that there had been interest.

According to, Holmes remarked, “We’ve been in communication with multiple organizations.” “I don’t know how many teams we’ve talked to, but there are two that we’ve talked to.”

Prior to the NFL Draft, Holmes expects a surge in the number of trades. According to Holmes, their tally drew a lot of attention the year before. Penei Sewell was given a total of seven songs to choose from.

“I imagine it will be hotter than it is,” Holmes remarked of the current temperature. It’s an especially good selection now that it’s accessible because it had a lot of buzz last year at No. 7. More conversations are on the agenda for me. ” After losing their first 11 games, the Detroit Lions finished last season with a record of 3-13-1. It’s no secret that they’re short on both the offensive and defensive ends of the field.

Despite the abundance of stars-in-the-making at every position, the NFL Draft this year lacks the kind of star power that everyone expects.

Given the quality of their draught, it is understandable that they desire to raise their selections. They must also find a team that is willing to take the leap with them.
