Starting 10 races of the NASCAR cup series season, Stenhouse has been banished out of three races. His best finish came out on the 10th at the auto club speedway in Fontana, Calif. Other than nine-race, Stenhouse hadn’t managed a finish better than 21st. Until Monday.
By the end of Stage 2 of Monday’s rain hindered the race at Dover (Del.) Motor Speedway, Stenhouse and his No. 47 JTG Daugherty Chevrolet had given rise to his way to fifth. Stenhouse began their game again from 348 laps out of 400. He got his fourth position. When Elliott gave the lead to restart Ross Chastain, Stenhouse got his third position.
On 351 laps, Stenhouse came into the third position behind Elliott. After getting a close match between them, they passed each other a couple of times, but when Elliott battled lapped traffic, Stenhouse was confirmed into the Second position, whereas Elliott got their first win of the 2022 season.
